Variara did his studies in philosophy at Valsalice, where he met Don Andrea Beltrami, who struck him for the joy with which he faced his illness. exemplary obedience
To this foundation he had much to suffer for the lack of understanding of people and some superiors, who thought well of him away from Agua de Dios several times. Like Don Bosco was an exemplary obedience. In the face of calumny uttered not a word. It was credible because he was obedient.
Don Rua da Torino encouraged him. He died far from his beloved sick, how obedience wanted. Now he rests in Agua de Dios, in the chapel of her daughters.
